Listen To The SHOCKING Reason Why Beatrice’s Children Have Titles & Eugenie's Children Doesn't // Princess Beatrice’s daughter, Sienna Mapelli Mozzi, does not hold a royal HRH title, but she does carry an aristocratic-style courtesy connection

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie appear to hold different royal distinctions despite both being daughters of Prince Andrew. While online speculation has described the situation as “shocking,” the explanation is rooted largely in royal tradition and inheritance rules rather than personal favoritism.

Princess Beatrice’s daughter, Sienna Mapelli Mozzi, does not hold a royal HRH title, but she does carry an aristocratic-style courtesy connection through her father’s Italian noble lineage. Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, whose family has historic Italian aristocratic ties, allowing their daughter to be associated with the Mapelli Mozzi title traditions. This has sometimes caused confusion online, with some mistakenly assuming Sienna holds an official British royal title.

Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie’s sons, August and Ernest Brooksbank, do not possess royal titles because their father, Jack Brooksbank, does not come from a titled aristocratic family. Under longstanding royal protocol in the United Kingdom, titles are generally inherited through the male line or granted directly by the monarch.

Royal experts explain that neither Beatrice nor Eugenie’s children automatically qualify for prince or princess titles under current rules established by royal letters patent. Unlike the children of Prince William, who are directly in the immediate line of succession to the throne, the York sisters’ children fall further down the royal hierarchy.

The confusion surrounding the issue has fueled widespread online debate, with some royal fans arguing the system feels outdated or inconsistent. Others point out that limiting titles for more distant royals reflects the monarchy’s modern push toward a slimmer and less publicly funded institution.
